Touring the Battlefields of France and Belgium [the Western Front] has become an annual pilgrimmage for chums Neil Pole and Tim Knight. They've posted a selection of images and scenes from the region which encompass monuments, memorials and cemeteries, battlefields and other places of interest including the odd memorial or site of interest from the UK and elsewhere
Neil and Tim are firm believers of setting history into context, and reserve judgement on the actions of our forebears; shaped as they were by the spirit of that particular age.
